Over de wijn
Le Cousin is een prachtig experiment van wijnmaker Jean-Luc Mouillard. In Jura is de Macvin erg populair. Deze gaat bijvoorbeeld ontzetted goed bij kaas en sommige desserts, maar daar drinken ze 'm zelfs gewoon als aperitief. Deze wijn is gemaakt zoals een Macvin, maar net niet helemaal volgens de strikte richtlijnen waardoor er geen Macvin op de fles mag staan. Le Cousin is gemaakt van Pinot Noir en de 'rosé Macvins' zijn doorgaans wat zachter van smaak dan de witten. Dat proef je zeker terug in deze verborgen schat.
Over het wijnhuis
Jean-Luc Mouillard komt uit een familie van druiventelers die hun oogst verkocht aan de lokale coöperatie. In 1991 neemt hij het wijnhuis over en het eerste wat hij besluit is om zelf te wijn te maken. Inmiddels heeft Jean-Luc 11 hectare aan wijngaarden en maakt hij alle typische stijlen wijn die je in Jura tegenkomt, maar wel met een duidelijke filosofie. De natuur z'n gang laten gaan, pure wijn maken en kwaliteit boven alles. Jean-Luc doet inmiddels alles samen met zijn vrouw Annie en hun zoon Mathieu. Een echt familiewijnhuis.
Proefnotities van Job
Koperen kleur met een roze gloed. Intense aroma's van rozijntjes, gedroogde kersen, peper en rozen. In de mond is deze wijn vol met een goede zuurgraad en voelt zacht op de tong. Smaken als die van kers, noten, marsepein en bakspecerijen.
